CITY OF SAN JOSE DEL MONTE, BULACAN – San Jose del Monte City Water District (San Jose Water) received an “Excellent” rating in the recently concluded Water Safety Plan Review of the Local Water Utilities Administration (LWUA) last November 25, 2016 in recognition of their outstanding work in ensuring the quality and safety of water.
The agency obtained an “Excellent” rating in the LWUA Review and Acceptance Evaluation Summary, posting an over-all score of 93.67%.
San Jose Water also received a score of 100% in terms of Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment, Control Measures and Validation, proving that the agency’s continuing efforts in maintaining and improving the water system in the City of San Jose del Monte is par excellence.
The Water Safety Plan is mandated by Administrative Order No. 2014-0027 of the Department of Health, which directs water service providers to produce a comprehensive Water Safety Plan. It is also supported by the LWUA Memorandum Circular No. 010.14, which states that all water districts should have their own Water Safety Plan.
The review is conducted by LWUA to ensure that local water districts conform to the standards set in relation to water and water facilities safety, securing not only water sources but also water services and systems.
